Day 1 Welcome

Landing in Cairo, someone will be there to greet and assist you at the massive international airport of the city of the pharaohs. You will check in to your hotel surrounded by beautiful gardens with a view of the Great Pyramids.

Day 2 Egyptian Museum

Today afternoon, make a trip to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which is home to 150,000 Egyptian artifacts. The museum, which is also called the Egyptian Museum, draws in millions of tourists every year. The main attraction is the gold collection of Tanis, the funeral mask of Psusennes I, which is only one example of the stunning and priceless treasures. Your Egyptologist guide will first present you with the most significant artifacts and then give you the option to roam around the museum by yourself.

Day 3 Giza Pyramids

Explore the Giza Plateau, where the Pyramids of Menkaure, Khafre, and the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the sole surviving wonder among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, are situated. Next, visit the Great Sphinx, who has been watching over the royal tombs ever since the Fourth Millennium BC.

Day 4 Temple of Karnak

Get on board your Nile cruise in Egypt and the next destination will be the Grand Temple of Karnak. Stroll through the Great Hypostyle Hall whose gigantic columns seem as if they were done with the help of a skilled hand. Aftet lunch, visit the valley where the kings were buried and see more than 60 awesome tombs of the New Kingdom pharaohs carved right into the desert rock. Get to know the Temple of Hatshepsut, the first woman pharaoh of ancient Egypt. You could also go to the Valley of the Queens (Biban el-Harim).

Day 5 Temple of Hathor at Dendera

Use a beautiful cruise in a northerly direction to reach the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, one of the most well-preserved temples in Egypt, far from the hustle and bustle of the crowds and other ships. See the hall with columns of the temple, at its ceiling still standing, small shrines to Isis and Hathor. Discover the inner rooms and the crypt beneath the temple among the foundations of Cheops' time. This afternoon visit took place in Luxor Temple that was completed during Ramses II's ruling period.

Day 6 Edfu Temple

Taking the day tours to Aswan, the temple of Horus at Edfu (the falcon-headed god) will be the next site to check out. Ptolemy III constructed this superbly preserved building in 230 BC, showing us how the ancient Egyptians worshipped their gods in temples. Get off at Kom Ombo ("the hill of gold") to see the twin temples of Haroeris (the sun god) and Sobek (the crocodile god) from the Greco-Roman period. Crocodiles used to inhabit this area of the Nile; you can see some of their mummies in the museum.

Day 7 Philae Temple

Start your day by taking a cruise to Aswan. Then, you will board a motorized boat for a short ride to Philae Temple which is situated on the island of Agilika. The temple was relocated and reconstructed with great care in order to avoid flooding when the High Dam of Aswan was built. After that, you will proceed with the sightseeing tour to the famous granite quarries where the gigantic Unfinished Obelisk, a monolith illustrating the extraordinary skills of Egypt's stonemasons, is located. Finally, if the weather is good, you will finish the day by sailing in a felucca (a small sailboat) around the Aswan islands.

Day 8 Abu Simbel

Take off your cruise and fly to Abu Simbel, where the majestic temples of Ramses II and Nefertari are located. The front of the temple presents the colossal statues of the king. Then, head back to Cairo and enjoy a relaxed afternoon.

Day 9 Cairo tour

Following a soothing morning, visit the Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa. Constructed in 1356 A.D., it is not only one of the largest of its kind but also a masterpiece of early Mamluk architecture. Next, take a walk from Bab el-Fotouh to Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, where you will find shops selling spices, leather goods, and jewelry. The road that leads from the mighty, fortified Fotouh Gate to Zuweila Gate has barely altered over the centuries. Haggling is the rule, so get ready to bargain. Meet for a farewell dinner tonight.
