North Egypt & Siwa Adventure

A captivating trip to Alexandria from Cairo along with Your Egypt Tours' Egyptologist guide is a must. Alexandria, Egypt's second-largest city, with its Roman ruins along the seashore and with its Mediterranean rather than Middle Eastern attitude, is more famous for its Roman ruins than any other place. The personal service you'll receive from your Egyptologist tour guide while sightseeing in Alexandria will be indescribable. During the tour, you can control for how long you want to be at each site that you are going to visit. Alexandria was a gift of Alexander the Great in 332 B.C. and later became the capital of Graeco-Roman Egypt. Your first stop in this historical city is the catacombs of Kom ash-Shuqqafa, a Roman burial place one of the family tombs where art and architecture of the two cultures come together is to be seen, Egyptian and Roman. Go underground to see the tomb and Caracalla Hall. Up again and onward to Pompey’s Pillar, a monument of an 82-feet (25-meter) high granite column which was erected to honor Emperor Diocletian who liberated the city which was besieged at the time and brought food to the starving people. The next remnant of the Roman days that your guide will take you to is the fort of Qaitbay which was built in the year 1477 to secure the eastern part of the city. You will be having lunch (extra cost) and afterwards, the famous Alexandria Library will be another stop on the journey. Unlike the ancient architecture that is found in Egypt, the building which is Norwegian-designed is really a wonderful modern-day creation. A copy of every book published in the world is reserved in the library, thus making it one of the great literary sites in the world. Overnight stay in Alexandria Note: The library of Alexandria is prohibition on the first day of the week (Fridays and Saturdays).

Your guide will arrive at your accommodation in Alexandria at 6:00 AM and then he will take you to Alamein, which is approximately a 3-hour journey by car. At Al Alamein, you are going to have the site where the fantastic fight over the Mediterranean took place, visit the Sinai and Western Desert beachfront, and the official rival’s cemeteries. Then proceed to the wonderful Gulf of Marsa Matrouh which is located on the Mediterranean Coast to have lunch there. After that, you will drive to Siwa. The journey from Alamein to Siwa takes approximately 6 hours by car.

Thank you Egypt Promotion Tours!

I was really excited about going to Egypt, but I had concerns that the company might not be legitimate or that the trip wouldn’t include everything promised after making an upfront payment. To my surprise, my expectations were exceeded beyond anything I could have imagined. Cairo was a truly unique experience, and our guide made our visit to the pyramids the absolute highlight of the day. We did the Dahabiya Iris for 4 days, and we were blown away by the outstanding service from Ahmed Fouad, Ehab, and the ship’s incredible chef. I never expected such personalized and exceptional service, something that even larger cruise lines don’t provide. Highly recommended! It was a spectacular and one-of-a-kind experience. Starting from the prompt and helpful responses to every question by phone, to being picked up at the airport with a sign bearing your name, and not having to worry about a single thing until the very last day when you’re dropped off back at the airport. Egypt was the best vacation of our lives! Thank you Egypt Promotion Tours!
