The waterfall of Ras El Maa is perhaps the most favored of all natural sites in Chefchaouen, which is an area at the edge of the medina and right where it all begins. The waterfall comes from the Rif Mountains and into a small stream, and the city has a cooling and refreshing atmosphere. The place provides beautiful scenery, and it is a peaceful place to get away from the city and even see some people washing clothes or taking water; all this is still part of the local daily routine in the city. Ras El Maa is perfect for a short hike, Valley of the northern Morocco Nature, and taking beautiful pictures since it is a very easy walk from the medina.
