The Uganda National Mosque, also called the Gaddafi National Mosque, is a tourist attraction in Kampala and among the biggest mosques in Sub-Saharan Africa. In the first place, it is located on the top of Kampala Hill, the mosque is another attraction of the city with its huge prayer hall, golden dome, and exquisite Islamic decorations. The mosque’s painting and decor besides the various geometrical designs are also observed by the visitors, and they can even go up to the roof where they will see all around and, of course, Lake Victoria. The mosque offers all sorts of activities ranging from religious significance to the different cultures of the world with guided tours, educational materials, and a café serving local coffee and tea among other things.
