One of the main conservation organizations in Uganda is the Wildlife Education Centre which is situated in Entebbe, by Lake Victoria. The organization, nowadays, is more commonly known as a “zoo with a purpose”, that is why besides the usual zoo’s activities, UWEC is all about animals and the environment in general.
