Spanning over 100 km in length, the Ziz Valley Oasis is located in the southeast of Morocco giving a birth to a very fertile and beautiful landscape in the country. The Ziz River is the source of the valley, on its banks are the date palms numbering millions, the ancient villages, and the terraced farming. Their togetherness creates a remarkable visual juxtaposition with the surrounding desert and rocky plateaus. Being the main source of water for the settlements between the Middle Atlas and the Sahara, the Ziz Valley has been the place for trade, agriculture, and settlement for dreadful centuries
