Nuweiba (also pronounced Nuweibaa or Nwabee) is a calm and quiet coastal town in the east of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, positioned in between Taba and Dahab. The unspoiled natural beauty, easy-going atmosphere, and hospitable Bedouins make Nuweiba a prime hidden jewel on the coast of The Red Sea.
Nuweiba was not like the Sinai resorts that are crowded with tourists. It was a place where one could take an inseparable retreat and loosen up on the golden beach, in the crystal-clear water, and under the Sinai mountains which were dramatically rising in the background. The water in the area is calm and shallow. The quality of the water is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and diving—very colorful coral reefs and diverse marine life are waiting just offshore to be seen.
