13-Day Pharaohs & Red Sea Escape

Here is how you will commence your Egyptian adventure: arrival at CAI airport and escort to your hotel for overnight stay.

Today we will go to the Giza Plateau to see the magnificent Pyramids and Sphinx. The three colossal tombs, built out of more than 2.5 million limestone blocks, were not only the last living representatives of the ancient Greek Seven Wonders of the World but also took over twenty years for their construction. Our exploration will start on foot and then we will continue on camels! The adventure has begun and we are riding over the sand with our strong desert ships!

meals Breakfast

Egyptian Museum Enter the Egyptian Museum of Cairo, a historic museum with a priceless collection of relics that was founded in 1901. The visit to ancient Egypt's most extensive collection of artifacts will make it possible for you to see firsthand the gold collection of the stunning city of Tanis, which includes the death mask of Psusennes I and other royal masterpieces. In the afternoon, we visit the Saladin Citadel and the lively Khan el-Khalili Bazaar before enjoying the comfortable overnight sleeper train to Aswan, which includes dinner, of course.

meals Breakfast & Dinner

Today we get to Aswan in the morning and take a guided walk through the Nubian city visiting the local market and souq. Aswan, situated beautifully on the Nile, has given us a walk along the riverside corniche to see the beautiful boats which is really a treat along with the Aswan bazaar. The afternoon is free for you to explore.

If lucky there might be a local football game going on. An Egyptian family will provide lunch and after that, a train ride north to visit Luxor, one of the world's greatest open-air museums. The 4000-year-old town of ancient Thebes, which is now called Luxor, is our home for the next three days.

This morning hot air ballooning is the option before going to see Karnak Temple. Karnak is not only a temple but a marvelous complex consisting of sanctuaries, pylons, statuettes, and obelisks; it is built on a larger than life scale and is likely the best of the ancient Egyptian temples. Free afternoon or stroll at Luxor’s historic waterfront. This evening, we ride in horse-drawn carriages to the Temple of Luxor, which is beautifully lit and then we have a tour in the cool evening air.

Our journey will take us to the West Bank of Luxor today. After one and a half centuries, the place we are going to this morning, with the most famous pharaoh’s tomb - the Valley of the Kings, is still the focus of many documentaries. Along with the grotesque burial complex of Prince Amonhirkhopshef, other great attractions of ancient Egypt are the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut with its impressive columns and the colossal statues of Memnon.

Thank you Egypt Promotion Tours!

I was really excited about going to Egypt, but I had concerns that the company might not be legitimate or that the trip wouldn’t include everything promised after making an upfront payment. To my surprise, my expectations were exceeded beyond anything I could have imagined. Cairo was a truly unique experience, and our guide made our visit to the pyramids the absolute highlight of the day. We did the Dahabiya Iris for 4 days, and we were blown away by the outstanding service from Ahmed Fouad, Ehab, and the ship’s incredible chef. I never expected such personalized and exceptional service, something that even larger cruise lines don’t provide. Highly recommended! It was a spectacular and one-of-a-kind experience. Starting from the prompt and helpful responses to every question by phone, to being picked up at the airport with a sign bearing your name, and not having to worry about a single thing until the very last day when you’re dropped off back at the airport. Egypt was the best vacation of our lives! Thank you Egypt Promotion Tours!
