8-Day Egyptian Explorer

You also got to the land of the Pharaohs! Your tour leader will be waiting for you at Cairo airport, provide you with assistance and take you to your hotel. You can spend the day ahead at your own leisure, which means you can either rest or do something else.

We are going to witness the ancient world wonders at the Giza Plateau today. They are the only ones that still exist from the Seven Wonders of the World as per the ancient Greeks. The Great Pyramid of Giza-Pyramid of Cheops was built with more than 2.5 million limestone blocks and it took more than 20 years to complete. Then, we will have some fun riding camels across the sandy desert land.

meals Breakfast

Cairo – Aswan. Today, our journey takes us to the Citadel of Saladin for the treasures and mummies, plus other things, with views over the old city and the people down there who are doing their daily things. The day is finished by a walk to the thriving Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. It’s time for a bath; tonight, we board the cozy overnight sleeper train to Aswan.

meals Breakfast & Dinner

We got to Aswan this morning and went to the Nubian city by a guided walk through the local market and souq. The walk along the riverfront corniche to watch the numerous boats is a real treat and so is the Aswan bazaar. The afternoon is free.

meals Breakfast

You can either spend the morning doing nothing or take the trip to Abu Simbel Temple (optional) in the morning. The rest of the afternoon is free; you could take a dip in the pool, walk along the Nile corniche, or visit the bustling market.

meals Breakfast

Aswan – Luxor. This day we get on a motorboat and go to cruise on the Nile river, which passes through some tiny isles on the way to Sheil Island, where we get off and go to see a local village and school. The motorboats of Aswan are owned and run by friendly local sailors who are often seen swimming in the river. They have been changed from the Felucca vessel style to carry travelers comfortably. In the house of an Egyptian family, lunch will be served. After lunch, we will be the ones to travel back to Aswan for taking the afternoon/evening train to Luxor, which is one of the most magnificent open-air museums in the world. The ancient Thebes site, which is 4000 years old and now known as Luxor, will be our base for the next three nights.

meals Breakfast, Lunch

Our first destination is the Karnak Temple, which is not just a temple but rather a huge religious site with stunning buildings, enormous pylons, countless statues, and grand obelisks. Karnak may be the best-preserved and most impressive temple of ancient Egypt, constructed on a gigantic scale. Afternoon is free or you can take a walk along Luxor's waterfront which is full of history. This night we will go to the Temple of Luxor, which is lit up, by means of horse carriages and enjoy the guided visit in the nice and cool evening. The rest of the night is yours.

meals Breakfast

We commenced our journey to the West Bank of the Nile for a guided tour of the mythical Valleys of the Kings this morning. The rocky mountains, which are void of any green plants, comprise a great area of tombs, where some even allow visitors to go inside. The tombs have been preserved so well that the colors of the incredible pharaonic friezes are still as brilliant as when they were first painted. Upon leaving the Valley of the Kings and bidding farewell to the tour guide, we went to our hotel where we had a little time to refresh ourselves before the check-out at the hotel and the subsequent transfer to Luxor International Airport. At this stage, our tour finishes with the surrealistic memories of a magical family vacation in Egypt!

Thank you Egypt Promotion Tours!

I was really excited about going to Egypt, but I had concerns that the company might not be legitimate or that the trip wouldn’t include everything promised after making an upfront payment. To my surprise, my expectations were exceeded beyond anything I could have imagined. Cairo was a truly unique experience, and our guide made our visit to the pyramids the absolute highlight of the day. We did the Dahabiya Iris for 4 days, and we were blown away by the outstanding service from Ahmed Fouad, Ehab, and the ship’s incredible chef. I never expected such personalized and exceptional service, something that even larger cruise lines don’t provide. Highly recommended! It was a spectacular and one-of-a-kind experience. Starting from the prompt and helpful responses to every question by phone, to being picked up at the airport with a sign bearing your name, and not having to worry about a single thing until the very last day when you’re dropped off back at the airport. Egypt was the best vacation of our lives! Thank you Egypt Promotion Tours!
