Kasbah Amridil is a well-preserved and most photographed kasbah in whole Morocco, a nice and calm Skoura Oasis, which is very close to Ouarzazate. The 17th century saw the construction of this enormous earthen fortress, which later became the fortified residence of the local ruling families. A close-up of the great towers, the artistically done decorations, and the position among palm trees, Kasbah Amridil is a source of revealing southern Morocco’s history, architecture, and people’s living together with nature. The kasbah has now become a symbol of the cultural heritage of Skoura.
