Skala de la Ville is an ancient fortress that goes back to the time of the 18th century in Essaouira, built upon the city’s west ramparts from where the Atlantic can be seen. Sultan Sidi Mohammed ben Abdallah had its construction done for stopping the possible sea attacks.
