4-Day Cairo & Alexandria Experience

Availing the Egypt tour from Taba, you will be able to witness the magnificence of Egypt in just four days and with each day comes more fun and adventures. The beginning of this tour is at a place where the ancient miracles emerge from the ruins of the desert and the past can be sensed in every corner. The two places that this tour will take you to are Cairo and Alexandria, the two ancient cities of Egypt—each one of them having its own culture, archaeology, and spectacular views. No matter if you are coming through the Taba land border or your hotel, the tour operator will make sure you travel smoothly, comfortably, and without any stress from the very beginning to the very end.

The adventure leads you to Cairo first which is the city where one of the world’s most famous monuments is—the Great Pyramids of Giza, the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World. Get a close-up view of the gigantic Sphinx, get to know the royal treasures and golden artifacts being the Egyptian Museum, and take a stroll through Old Cairo where early Christianity thrived. Go to the Hanging Church, St. Sergius Church, and Coptic Quarter with a history tour ending at Sakkara, where the mighty Step Pyramid of Djoser stands as a testimony of pyramids being built for the first time. Move on to Memphis which is the ancient capital of Egypt and an open-air museum of colossal statues and royal artifacts with a rich history.

When you enter Egypt through the Taba Border, our representative will be there to assist you and take you to the car that will take you to Cairo. We will begin our tour with Cairo’s most well-known attractions, the Pyramids of Giza, including the Sphinx (the quiet witness of the glorious civilization and yet so communicative) and the Egyptian Museum. Overnight Cairo.

Once you have finished your breakfast at the hotel we will take you to Sakkara, which is the ancient “Necropolis” of the Old Kingdom’s Capital Memphis, where we will see some pyramids and tombs including the famous “Step Pyramid”, the oldest known Pyramid. Next, we head to the Cairo Citadel constructed by Saladin and visit the famous “Alabaster Mosque”. You will spend the night in Cairo.

A captivating private tour to Alexandria with a personal Egyptologist report for your own benefit will be the most incredible way to travel from Cairo. The Mediterranean-like atmosphere of Alexandria, the second-largest city in Egypt, is not very typical of the Arabian world, moreover, the city is still known for its Roman ruins. With the Egyptologist guide specially assigned for you, there will be no need for you to hurry through the attractions of Alexandria. Since this is a private tour, you can decide how long you want to stay at each site. It was in the year 312 B.C. when Alexander the Great laid down the groundwork for the city, which later became the capital of Greece-Roman Egypt. The first place on your itinerary during this historic city tour is the Kom ash-Shuqqafa catacombs—a Roman burial ground whose family tomb displays the fusion of traditional and artistic styles and architectural principles of both cultures. Underground, you'll find the tomb and Caracalla Hall. From here going back to the surface, go on to see Pompey’s Pillar, an 82-foot (25-meter) granite column intended to commemorate the Emperor Diocletian, who liberated the city under siege and supplied food to the people dying of starvation. The next site the guide will take you to is the Roman amphitheater, which might have been the best-preserved Roman site in Egypt. The area also includes the remnants of a Roman street and houses. You will spend the afternoon visiting the famous Alexandria Library after lunch. The building designed by the Norwegians is so different from the ancient architecture found all around Egypt that it can be called a striking piece of modern design. The library is one of the great literary sites in the world as it stores a copy of every book published across the globe. Besides, the library has several exhibitions on Egyptian history, a collection of rare antique books, and a display of rare antique books. Note: The library of Alexandria is closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

Today's activities will focus on the Old City of Cairo (Fustat) where we will visit the old Coptic Churches and some of the most famous Mosques, which are characteristic of this area. The second part of the day you will spend at leisure, walking on your own through the famous market-area of Khan el Khalili. In the early afternoon, we will pick you up and drive you to the Taba Border Crossing.

Thank you Egypt Promotion Tours!

I was really excited about going to Egypt, but I had concerns that the company might not be legitimate or that the trip wouldn’t include everything promised after making an upfront payment. To my surprise, my expectations were exceeded beyond anything I could have imagined. Cairo was a truly unique experience, and our guide made our visit to the pyramids the absolute highlight of the day. We did the Dahabiya Iris for 4 days, and we were blown away by the outstanding service from Ahmed Fouad, Ehab, and the ship’s incredible chef. I never expected such personalized and exceptional service, something that even larger cruise lines don’t provide. Highly recommended! It was a spectacular and one-of-a-kind experience. Starting from the prompt and helpful responses to every question by phone, to being picked up at the airport with a sign bearing your name, and not having to worry about a single thing until the very last day when you’re dropped off back at the airport. Egypt was the best vacation of our lives! Thank you Egypt Promotion Tours!
