This tour gives you the opportunity to experience the best of ancient Egypt and the city of Alexandria not only through the old but also the modern way of life it offers over the period of 6 days and 5 nights.

The first stop on your itinerary is Cairo, where the first sights will be The Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and a demonstration at the Papyrus Institute of the art of ancient papyrus-making. You will be able to visit local markets and museums to feel Egypt’s deep historical roots.

After that, the next stop is to Alexandria, the famous Egyptian city by the sea with its Roman past. The main attractions include the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, Pompey’s Pillar, the Roman Amphitheatre, Al-Morsi Abu Al-Abbas Mosque, and the Qaitbay Fort with a view of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

You will spend your last night in Cairo and then take home the memories of ancient Egypt and the charm of the Mediterranean coast.

6 Days Discover ancient Cairo & Alexandria

Upon arrival at Cairo Airport you will be met by an Egypt Promotion Travel representative who will assist you through airport customs & formalities. You will be escorted immediately to your hotel in one of the air-conditioned modern vehicles (official check-in time around 15.00 hrs.). • Arrive at the hotel, check-in, and overnight.

Today we start exploring ancient Egypt with a visit: • The famous Pyramids plateau: o The Great Pyramid of Cheops, built by manual labor, is the largest of the three main Pyramids and the only survivor of the Seven Great Wonders of the Ancient World. o The Pyramid of Chephren, which is the best preserved. o The Pyramid of Mycerinus. o The Sphinx, a marvelous sight carved out of a natural rocky outcrop, the lion's body stretching 45m, with its paws 15m long. o The Papyrus Institute and learn how paper was made in ancient times followed by shopping in the Papyrus Museum, Perfume factory and Jewelry shop. • Return to the hotel & overnight at the hotel
