Ziz Valley is an amazing green line that runs through southeastern Morocco and separates the rocky desert of the Atlas Mountains. It is a valley formed by the Ziz River and it has been the source of life for many centuries, thus making an eye-catching contrast of the green palm trees with the bare rocks.
The travelers on the route connecting Errachidia with Erfoud enjoy the view from very high points that the valley has to offer: the river getting lost among the hills, the ancient villages, and the traditional mudbrick kasbahs. Ziz Valley is a geographical area in southeastern Morocco, it stretches from Midelt to Erfoud along the Ziz river through the valley. It is also very easy to access from the Atlas Mountains and is the starting point for the Sahara Desert.
