As soon as you land at Entebbe International Airport, and after having your immigration papers checked, our committed safari guide will greet you very kindly right at the door of the arrivals exit. Then, you will get a thorough briefing regarding your trip, and afterward, you will be driven to your hotel for check-in and free time. Flight Duration: Approx. 2 Hours Pickup Time: 06:00AM. Have an early breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to Entebbe Airport to catch your flight to Kasese. After landing, take a road trip to Kibale Forest. At Kibale, you can take part in the Bigodi Community experience which is a cultural encounter in the community that is characterized by the following: Taking part in a traditional coffee experience, tasting banana beer and local spirits, going through rare arts and crafts, enjoying cultural songs and dances, and becoming familiar with the indigenous herbs. (Note: This activity is subject to change). After this cultural experience, a lunch of your choice will be served at Tinka’s Homestead. Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking will be your afternoon adventure— After a briefing at 02:00PM, seize the opportunity at 02:30PM to go on an exhilarating hike through the lush Kibale rainforest. The winding trails will lead you to the chimpanzees in their natural habitat as you watch them swing from trees to trees, looking for fruits, and playing with each other. The forest itself is a bright patchwork of sights and sounds—the soothing calls of exotic birds and to the occasional sight of other timid animals hiding in the woods. Each of you will have an experienced, friendly ranger to help you understand so much more; the daily life of the chimps, the trees and animals that make up the forest and the important conservation efforts that are saving the remarkable primates. A few things that you should definitely have with you are good hiking boots, long pants, a face mask, insect repellent, gloves, and drinking water which will help you to have a comfortable and unforgettable adventure. After the chimp trek, transfer to the lodge for check-in and enjoy dinner at your own time. Journey Time: Approx. 06 Hours Pickup Time: 07:00AM. Acknowledge the new day with an early breakfast at the lodge, then proceed to check-out. Take off on a scenic trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with the spectacular views to savor during the trip. During the local restaurant stop, lunch will be served to you. The lodge will be reached in the late afternoon, where you will be able to check in and refresh yourselves before having dinner at your own convenience. Pickup Time: 06:30AM. Early morning breakfast will be packaged into a lunchbox that will include mineral water for your backpack to the park |Dinner is already prepared at your lodge. The main Activity of the day: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking – The formalities at the park completed, and you will go to the mountain gorillas to track them. Lush and deep jungle and rocky paths are traversed by following the fresh gorilla trails led by skilful trackers until you see a lovely family of gorillas with the magnificent one - the silverback. Go on to see, take pictures and absorb the behaviours of these gentle giants for 1–2 hours in their untouched natural habitat. Encountering one of the world’s most iconic and endangered species with each second being breathtaking will not only fill you with memories but also will make them last a lifetime. Your ranger guide will pick a secure place for a picnic lunch before continuing the trek or returning to the lodge, during the excursion. Sturdy hiking boots, long pants, gloves, long-sleeved clothing, a face mask, insect repellent, and drinking water are essentials for the wild. Later, head back to the lodge and spend the rest of the afternoon doing nothing or whatever you like. Flight Duration: Around 2 Hours Pickup Time: 06:30AM – Get up to have an early breakfast at the lodge and then do the check-out with your packed lunch. You will be then taken to the airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe (ETD: 08:30 | ETA: 11:25). After you reach Entebbe, go ahead with the flight check-in for your next journey. In case your flight is late in the day, you could either ask for a dayroom with transfers or participate in an optional excursion to take full advantage of your time. Optional Activity (costs 70$ per person): Go on the Mabamba Swamp Shoebill Tour, a wonderful chance to see the unusual and ancient-looking shoebill stork in its natural environment.
