Pick-up Time: 06:30 AM. Following an early morning meal, a packed lunch and a bottle of water will be given to you for your backpack. At 08:00 AM, transfer to the park headquarters, where you will receive a briefing before your unforgettable Bwindi Gorilla Habituation Expedition.

Bwindi's mountain gorillas are being slowly acclimatized to the presence of people as they are being part of a careful habituation process. The best part is that visitors are limited to a maximum of four daily permits, which, though, are usually booked way in advance. The trek will be with a small group of people, being accompanied by skilled trackers, researchers, and armed guards through the thick, misty forest.

You can witness gorillas for up to four hours, sharing their lives with them—feeding, grooming their young, playing, socializing, and fighting for rank—all the while keeping your distance and respecting their nature.

Packing essentials: very strong and rough hiking shoes, very long trousers, very long-sleeved shirts, gloves, a face mask, insect repellent, a rain jacket, binoculars, a lunch pack, and water.

When this once-in-a-lifetime adventure is over, the lodge will be the place to go for freshening up before dinner and resting. This day is a highlight of your Rwanda safari tour and Uganda wildlife adventure.
