7Days Primate Habituation Expedition

The most significant 7-day Primate Habituation Expedition through Uganda and Rwanda is just an adventure unit for wildlife lovers who can stand being in the middle of the world’s most fascinating primates.

The first stop is Kampala, then you go to Kibale Forest, a place with over 1,500 chimps. You will be attending a Chimpanzee Habituation Experience together with the researchers, so you will be spending a long time observing these primates in their natural surroundings. The Bigodi Cultural Tour will be your next stop. It is a community experience where you learn about Uganda's traditional music, crafts, and local delicacies.

You will then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biologically diverse areas on Earth. There you will go for a Gorilla Habituation Expedition and get to spend up to four hours with a gorilla family while this family is getting used to human presence — a truly rare and moving experience.

Next up is Mgahinga Gorilla National Park where you will have an exciting Golden Monkey Trek, which means getting close and spotting these colorful primates among the bamboo forests and volcanic slopes. Before leaving, you will spend a night at the Rwanda's dynamic capital Kigali where you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and Mount Kigali viewpoints.

In short, the trip offers engaging monkey watching, cultural experiences, and stunning nature views—a whole new world of the East African primate paradise.
