Planned Excursion:  in 7-Day Uganda Tour Packages Get on your boat and cross the deep waters of Lake Victoria for a grand day of fishing (approx. 8 hours). While discovering the biggest lake in Africa, you will be able to lure the great Nile Perch—the super fish able to weigh anywhere from 8 to 80 kilograms—by using trolling lures. A picnic lunch consisting of refreshing drinks and mineral water will be served during the day. Planned Excursion: Sport Fishing on the River Nile – Get prepared for an unforgettable adventure through the wild as you fish in the heart of Murchison Falls. Your guide will give you all the essential dos and don’ts for fishing in this wild area. You can fish from the rocky riverbanks at the base of the falls or a little downstream in the hippo pools; however, stay alert, as mighty hippos and crafty Nile crocodiles share these waters with you. Important notice: The temperature at noon may reach 40°C, so the anglers have to be well-equipped with sunscreen, hats, long-sleeved shirts, trousers, and insect repellent to keep tsetse flies away. Basic fishing equipment is provided, but it is better to bring personal gear because it helps you to enjoy this exciting river adventure more.
