Get to know Uganda's hidden wild-heart through this 03-Days Uganda Gorilla Safari Fly-In, an expedition that not only exposes the adventure and the comfort but also the closeness to one of the world's rarest species.
Your wild trip will start with a flight that provides you with beautiful views from above, from Entebbe to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This place is rich in rare flora and fauna and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The moment you reach Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip, your guide will take you to a marvelous forest lodge where tranquility and the sounds of nature will be your companions. You can choose to spend your first evening relaxing or participating in the optional Batwa Cultural Trail to interact with one of Africa’s oldest tribes.
The peak of your adventure takes place on Day two, when you will have the rare opportunity to track gorillas deep in the misty jungles of Bwindi. With the help of professional rangers, you will make your way through the thick jungle in a quest for one of the mountain gorilla clans and get to spend a magical hour watching their captivating antics from a very short distance. Then it is back to your lodge for the evening where you can drink your favorite beverage while reminiscing about this incredible safari.
After your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will go to the domestic flight check-in to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After landing at Kihihi or Kisoro, our safari guide will be glad to take you for a road transfer to the lodge, where you will check in, have lunch, and the rest of the day will be free. Pickup Time: 06:30AM. After the early morning meal, you will receive a lunchbox and bottled water for your backpack, then you will go to the office of the park. Intended activity: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Experience – Go deep into the midst of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to a memorable meeting with the rare mountain gorillas. Together with a well-skilled ranger and trackers, you will be walking through the lush, mist-covered paths, getting more and more excited with every step as the jungles' sounds and smells surround you. When the gorillas are found, you will be allowed to stay for 1 to 2 hours to watch and take pictures of these giant animals in their natural setting. This is no longer just a trek, it is an intimate and unique adventure and, at the same time, you will be right into one of the most amazing ecosystems on Earth! During the trek, your guide will pick a quiet place for a picnic lunch, before you either go on or come back to the lodge, (it may change). For your comfort and safety, put on good hiking shoes, long trousers, long-sleeved shirts, gloves, a face mask, and also take along insect repellent and water. After the trek, you will come back to the lodge to relax.

After an early breakfast, check out and be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe, where you will proceed to check in for your onward flight. For later departures, a dayroom, transfers, with an optional excursion can be arranged at a cost.
