Participate in the Around Uganda Safari – 14 Days, a deep and comprehensive journey through Uganda’s most magnificent national parks and hidden gems. This tour offers an incredible adventure due to the combination of animal watching, cultural immersions, and scenic beauty in one package.

Your journey will start in Kampala or Entebbe, where you will go to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the rhinos closely and also to have a quiet canoe paddle in search of the rare bird that is the shoebill stork. Continue your trip northwards to Murchison Falls National Park, where the Nile River’s power shatters through a narrow gorge and alongside the gorge are the elephants, giraffes and lions that are occupied in their, daily movement in the savanna.

The next stop will be Semuliki National Park which is bubbling with hot springs and super diverse rainforest wildlife. In Kibale Forest, you will see chimpanzees on a guided trek or even join in the day-long habituation experience. Move forward to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s foremost game park, renowned for its tree-climbing lions, crater lakes, and a leisurely boat ride on the Kazinga Channel.

The next stop is the magical Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the last haven of the critically endangered mountain gorillas. Then it is the time to relax at Lake Mutanda where you will enjoy canoeing, village tours, and tasty local food before ending the safari with a guided walking safari through Lake Mburo National Park where zebras and antelopes will be your companions.

Journey Time: Approx. 04 Hours Pickup Time: 06:30AM. Today, the day starts with an early breakfast after which you will check-out and proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary from Entebbe or Kampala. Planned Activity: At the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a full briefing will be given to you beforehand and then you will start with a guided Rhino Tracking walking safari. This activity lasts about four hours inside the sanctuary. After the activity, go to the lodge for check-in and then have lunch; afterward, you can spend some time resting as per your pace. Duration: Around 3 hours Time of pick-up: 5:30 AM. Before leaving for the shoebill trip at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary you can have a quick cup of tea or coffee. Morning Adventure: Shoebill Tracking and Canoeing - Your guided tour will start at 6:00 AM and last until 9:00 AM, giving you perfect chances to see the shy shoebill and other birds of the area against a beautiful sunrise. The canoeing birdwatching adventure will take you around the best viewing places where a record of 11 shoebills has been spotted at once. After that, go back to the lodge for a big breakfast, and then set off to Murchison Falls via Ziwa. A restaurant will provide lunch along the way. As soon as you get to the park, go to the amazing "Top of Murchison Falls" where you will see the creation of a permanent rainbow that takes place amidst the roaring noise and mist of the Nile. Travel Time: About 02 Hours Start Time: 06:00AM. Get up early, have breakfast first, then be given the packed lunches for your picnic inside Semuliki National Park. Semuliki, which is generally ignored, is in fact a park that brings together different features of the very Central Africa rainforest and savanna coming from East Africa. It is a wonderful place with hot springs, geysers, the Bamba/Batwa people, and a variety of animals and birds to mention only the shoebill stork—the most famous bird of the area—making it a surprise location. Anticipated events: Nature/Forest Walk in Semuliki and Sempaya Hotsprings Visit – The guided nature walk gives you a close and personal view of Semuliki’s exclusive topography with a visit to the Sempaya Hot Springs, Bintente, and Nyasimbi being the major attraction where you will get to feel the geothermal power strong enough to boil eggs and plantain in the steaming water. The tour will be crowned with an interaction with the Batwa people—the original forest inhabitants—before you go back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Chimpanzee Habituation Experience – Luxury option Chimpanzee Tracking Experience – Midrange Option Pickup Time: 06:00AM. First, take an early breakfast, then get your packed lunch and mineral water (Luxury option) to put in your backpack. Later, you will be driven to the park headquarters for your briefing before the trek. Planned Activities (Tailored to Travel Style): Chimpanzee Habituation (Luxury) – Be at the park’s visitor center by 07:00AM for a briefing, after which you will join a team of researchers, armed rangers, and trackers. The Chimpanzee Habituation Experience allows for extended time in the forest—approx. 4 to 5 hours—with a semi-habituated troop, offering a deeper and more insightful encounter. Chimpanzee Tracking Experience (Midrange) – The briefing starts at 08:00AM, followed by the necessary park formalities. The chimp trek begins by 08:30AM and usually lasts 1–2 hours from the time the chimps are located. The lodge will serve lunch after the trek. Park with a short stop at the Queen's Pavilion. Lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge will precede your scheduled boat cruise in the afternoon. Activities in the Afternoon: The Kazinga Channel boat cruise will be during peak wildlife activity, thus very good for the view of both birds and animals at the edge of the water. After that, you will have a tour at the Lake Katwe Salt Works to see the salt miners and hear about their traditional methods of extraction. The main event of the day: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Experience - After finishing up with park regulations, set out for a breathtaking expedition to find the critically endangered mountain gorillas. When they are found, you will have the chance to stay with them and take pictures for 1-2 hours, the silverback included. Your guide will find the best place to have a lunch of your choice before you continue or go back to the lodge (this is subject to change).
