6-Day Rwanda-Uganda Safari Package

Journey time: Less than 30 minutes. Upon landing at Kigali International Airport, your safari guide will be there to welcome you; he will help you with your bags and take you on a smooth ride to your hotel in Kigali. This marks the beginning of your 6-day Rwanda–Uganda safari tour.

Your tour guide will meet you at the hotel after breakfast and take you on a Kigali City Tour with lunch at a local restaurant included. Journey Duration: About 3 Hours | Pickup Time: 06:00 AM. After breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer to the park’s Kinigi Office for registration and a detailed pre-climb briefing. A packed lunch will be provided to keep you energized throughout this adventurous day.

Scheduled Activity: Mount Bisoke Summit Adventure
Get to the Kinigi Office by 07:00 AM for the talk and the guide allocation, and then start the hike to Mount Bisoke, which is the most picturesque of the Virunga volcanic range and also the highest at 3,711 meters. The way goes through green plants with sometimes openings that let you take nice pictures of the mountains around. The bearing goes to the stunning Crater Lake at the peak, allowing for a truly unforgettable view.

The entire adventure takes about six hours: four hours up and two hours down. After the hike, you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

You will have an early breakfast; then you will be given a packed lunch and a bottle of water, and finally you will move to the park headquarters, where a detailed briefing will take place.

Activity on the schedule: Bwindi Gorilla tracking experience
Explore the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest's dark and misty jungles, which are home to one of nature’s most magnificent wildlife encounters. With the help of skilled ranger guides and professional trackers, you shall take a hike on the dense forest floor, which is constantly teeming with the sights and smells of nature and is excitingly building up with every step.

You will be looking at a gorilla family for about 1-2 hours, and they will be really rare mountain gorillas, which will be in their natural habitat, and you will be allowed to take photographs as well. This is much more than just a hike—it is a close-up and a once-in-a-lifetime experience of the world’s most remarkable ecosystem.

A picnic will be served at a picturesque location inside the forest or back at the lodge (dependent on the situation). For convenience and safety, it is advisable to wear good hiking boots, long pants, long-sleeve shirts, gloves, and a face mask, and to carry insect repellent and sufficient water.

Travel Time: Approx. 3 Hours | Pickup Time: 06:00 AM.  Before the start of your Uganda Safari Tour to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, make sure to have a big breakfast at the lodge.

The itinerary includes:

Golden Monkey Trek in Mgahinga National Park
At the park headquarters, a morning briefing will be held first, and then at 08:00 AM the trek will start, leading you to the dense rainforest of Mgahinga. Golden monkeys live mainly in the bamboo covering of the forest, and following their movements gives you a great opportunity to know more about this colorful ecosystem. For about 1–2 hours, you will be able to see these lively and endangered monkeys swinging through the bamboo as they are followed by you.
Dress up in high hiking shoes, long trousers, and long-sleeved shirts for comfort and safety, and bring insect repellent, drinking water, a face mask, and a walking stick. If needed, we can provide porters for extra help.

Lake Mutanda Boat Trip
Then, proceed to Cheba’s Point for a pleasant two-hour boat ride on Lake Mutanda after the trek. Sail over the lake’s still waters, visit beautiful islands, and take in the lovely view of the hills around the lake and the volcanoes at a distance—this is the perfect way to wind down after the morning’s excitement.

After the cruise, your guide will meet you and take you to Chameleon Hill Lodge for lunch. The journey to Kigali City for hotel check-in will then be continued in the late afternoon. Dinner this evening will be at your own expense.
