Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our safari guide will be waiting for you, helping with your bags and taking you on a smooth transfer to your hotel in Kigali.

The journey will take about three hours, and the pick-up will be at 08:30 AM. After having breakfast at your hotel, a guided tour of Kigali will be your first event, and you will get a very good idea of the history and art of Rwanda while visiting its bustling center. The tour will take you to 

A local restaurant will be one of the options for your lunch before going to Volcanoes National Park or directly to the lodge for a late lunch. For those who love to learn about the new culture, the optional Iby'Iwacu Cultural Experience offers participation in local traditions that include community walks guided by locals, a visit to the King's House replica, traditional entertainment, storytelling, and local banana beer and spirit production demonstrations. You will reach the lodge in the late evening to freshen up and enjoy dinner at your convenience.

Depart after an early breakfast to reach the Kinigi Park Office for the briefing, and come across the Golden Monkey Trek in Volcanoes National Park:

  • Tracking one of the habituated monkey troops
  • Watching monkeys swing through the forest in playful and nimble antics

safety & comfort: wear hiking boots, long trousers, long sleeves, a raincoat and a hat; carry some mineral water, raincoat, and insect repellent
Upon ending the trek, guests shall return to the lodge for their lunch (may vary) before heading on a drive for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Check in upon arrival and enjoy dinner at leisure.

Pick-up Time: 06:30 AM. Begin with an early breakfast and you will be packed a lunch and bottled water. Then, proceed to the park office for a briefing before the trekking experience for the gorillas in Bwindi:

  • Accompanied by expert trackers through thick mist forests
  • Engage in observation and photography for 1–2 hours of the endangered mountain gorilla in its natural habitat
  • Enjoy picnic lunch in a calm jungle clearing
  • Afternoon Activity: Hiking at Lake Bunyonyi—The Summit of Uganda
  • Hike up to the highest viewpoint and enjoy a 360-degree view at 29 islands
  • Explore serene paths, interact with local communities, and enjoy the sunset over the lake

The road will take about three hours; on the day, expect to be picked up at 7:00 AM. Have a little early morning breakfast and set off from Lake Bunyonyi, heading back toward Kigali. Enjoy a magical Lake Bunyonyi canoe trip in the morning by paddling a traditional dugout canoe on the lake and touring its 29 different islands. While enjoying this chill outing, you will witness the magnificent landscape of the lake and the surrounding beauty of nature. Later, continue the drive back to Kigali and transfer to the airport for check-in. Flights departing from 06:00 PM onwards are recommended.
