9-Day Rabat, Fes, Marrakesh with Desert tour

Our local driver guide shall meet you outside the airport by gate 2 upon your arrival at Casablanca. You will commence driving up north to Rabat, the capital of Morocco; you will be shown to and checked into your hotel; here you will spend the night.

Overnight in Rabat.

After breakfast, get ready for a guided city tour of Rabat, which will unfold the historical footprints of Rabat. This tour will include a visit to Chellah and Kasbah Ouddaya, followed by free time to wander the souks and bazaars near the old medina of Rabat. We will then proceed to "Café Maure," located on the Bouregrag River. Refresh yourself with mint tea and enjoy tea time, combined with wonderful Moroccan tea sweets such as "Kaab Ghazal" or "Ghariba."

Next stop, Fes. Before we get to Fes, we will stop over at Volubilis and Meknes. Volubilis is a flourishing archeological site listed by UNESCO and is a World Heritage Site. Gaze upon its charm with a knowledgeable guide who can offer comparisons of Roman and Berber cultures in the same realm. After that, we will continue to Meknes, one of Morocco's lesser-known yet colorful imperial cities. Built by Moulay Ismail and intended to be the 'Versailles of Morocco. Once you meet your local guide, you’ll be able to visit the famed gate of Bab El Mansour and Lhri. These sites are the main beating veins of the city. We will then continue our way to Fes.

Kaab Ghazal means, in Arabic, the deer's hoof; together with Ghariba and Mint Tea, these are synonymous with Moroccan hospitality.

Overnight: Fes.

meals Breakfast, Tea break

Take a city tour around Fes after breakfast, an ancient kingdom's capital until 1912. A highlight today is Fes the Medina, which, according to UNESCO, is a World Heritage Site and was founded in the 9th century, containing the world's oldest university.

Your guide will acquaint you with the major landmarks, such as Medersa Bou-Inania and Medersa Attarin, the tanners, the post-centuries Ess-Seffarine Square, Moulay Idris's tomb, El-Nejjarine square, the cabinet makers' souk, and the Hebrew quarter, ‘Mellah.’ Also, on the schedule is a pottery workshop with a pottery master so that you have a full Moroccan experience. Following lunch at some local restaurant, either return to your hotel or consort the narrow alleys of the old town on your own. Forgetting Fes, which must intrigue you, must truly be a sin against yourself.

Overnight: Fes.

After breakfast, we will drive to Erfoud through Ifrane and Midelt. Erfoud is our gate to the majestic Saharan land of Morocco, which is renowned for its archaeological sites with fossils dated around one hundred million years. Upon arrival, your driver takes you for the thrill of your life as the SUVs head for the ever-interesting sand and barren dunes of the Zagora region. Enjoy a picturesque sunset along the way to the camp in Merzouga.

Overnight: Merzouga.

Wake up early to witness the sunrise above the dunes while being carried behind a camel. Then, spend the entire day journeying from Erfoud to Ouarzazate, with an English-speaking driver included. We will stop at Todra Gorge while on our way, located southwest of Tinerhir and situated 110 km from Ouarzazate. Here, take some incredible photographs. After the drive, you will continue on the road to Ouarzazate. Before arriving, we will spend some time at Skoura, one of the most well-known oases of Morocco. From the highway, it looks like a thin, long oasis, but if one really sees Skoura, one will observe how vast and impressive it is.

Night: Ouarzazate.

meals Breakfast & Dinner

In the morning, you will meet your driver guide in front of the hotel following breakfast. You will have a chance to visit the Atlas Studios, the hallowed grounds where the biggest blockbusters of the world film industry have been made, from The Mummy and The Gladiator to Asterix and Obelix and, of course, "Embrace Yourself," the Game of Thrones. So, make the best of it. En route enjoy the dramatic Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass and Ait Ben Haddou—the UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
